Actions Taken:
1. C. Jackson presented two additions to the School Committee’s FY07 capital requests: (1) $48K for heat exchangers for the East and Cottage Street schools; and (2) $8.5K added to the request for furniture to include new chairs for the HS auditorium.
2. W. Heitin presented an update to his analysis of the “debt pay-down” plan.
Votes Taken:
1. MOVED by J. Roach, and duly seconded, that the minutes of the February 2, 2006 meeting be accepted. VOTED in the affirmative (5-0-1).
2. MOVED by W. Heitin, and duly seconded, that $31,163 remaining from Article 21 of the 2002 Annual Town Meeting, May 14, 2002, for the Council on Aging bus to be reallocated to the Fire Department’s request for a brush truck. VOTED in the affirmative (7-0-0).
3. MOVED by W. Heitin, and duly seconded, that $3,892 remaining from Article 11 of the 2005 Annual Town Meeting, May 3, 2005, for the Town Hall roof repairs to be reallocated to the Department of Public Works’ request for the demolition of the Sacred Heart building. VOTED in the affirmative (7-0-0).
4. MOVED by W. Heitin, and duly seconded, that $3,380 remaining from Article 15 of the 2002 Annual Town Meeting, May 14, 2002, for the Middle School roof repairs to be reallocated to the School Committee’s request for kitchen rehabilitation. VOTED in the affirmative (7-0-0).
5. MOVED by W. Heitin, and duly seconded, that the CapOut Committee recommend that $500,000 be appropriated in FY08 to pay-down the Middle School roof replacement project. VOTED in the affirmative (7-0-0).
6. VOTED in the affirmative a roster of capital requests as per the attached spreadsheet titles “FY07 CapOut Votes.”
